Some Old m/94 Surplus Ammo
Here is some old surplus ammo for the swedish mauser. Some modern day swedish shooters believe it to be corrosive, but this is of course not true. Look down the shining bore of your 90 year old m/96 rifle and judge for yourself...The red sticker says: "Help reduce military spending. Pick up your casings and clips".

I use ammo like that in my Ljungman. M96's and M38's and have never seen anything to make me believe that it is ammo.

I shot the ammo in the pic last week at the range. The old army stuff had a tighter recoil and made a louder bang compared to Sellier & Bellot ammo. So, it must be loaded a bit hotter(?).
Strangely enough, the surplus ammo hit approx. 2" lower than the S&B.
I also dialed in the correct front blade height for 100m shooting. At around 8mm, the blade was a bit lower than I expected. No need for those super high blades!
Yeah, and the surplus ammo was OLD! It was hard to chamber because of the oxidation.
